What is Career Readiness Certificate?
The Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is a WorkKeys assessment-based
credential that gives employers and career seekers a uniform, standard,
objective measure of key workplace skills. It is being used by job seekers
across the country as an employment credential, and by employers as an
assessment of a person's trainability for an entry-level job or for a promotion
within the company.
Why do I need a Career Readiness Certificate?
There is an organized movement on the part of the States and Industry
towards the adoption of the Nationally recognized CRC as requirement for
employment in the future. The CRC is a recognized assessment of
skill level which many of the new jobs will require.

How do I get a Career Readiness Certificate?
Step 1 WIN Placement Test
- The WIN website is available to:
- Test your current skill level to determine if you are ready for the
actual Workeys assessment administered by the JSCC testing center.
- Provide an interactive learning environment to help improve your
skill level in the necessary areas.
- Students can request a WIN account by sending an email including their
student number to

- Logon to WIN website.

- Take the WIN placement test for each of the three areas of CRC:
- applied math,
- locating information,
- and reading for information.
- You can select Quit anytime and return later to complete placement
tests
- Work through the lessons for any levels you did not test out of on
the placement test.
- You can complete any remaining levels by passing the posttest at the
end of each level.

You need to score at Level 5 on the Placement test for each area before
taking the actual CRC tests.
