Student Requirements for using the MSDN Academic Alliance

Only students enrolled in certain CIS courses are eligible to download software from the MSDNAA.

  1. You will have to use your Jefferson State email account and Logon to Pipeline to receive emails.
  2. You need your Jefferson State Username/PIN to Logon to Pipeline.
  3. If you have forgotten your username, you can look it up using the "What is my user name?" link on the My JSCC Pipeline webpage.
  4. Your Pipeline Password (PIN) is set to your 6-digit birthday by default.
  5. Logon to Pipeline and look for an email from billing@e-academy.com
  6. In the email you should find your 
PIPELINE
Students must Logon to Pipeline to receive emails from ELMS.

The pipeline User Name is your email address username.

The pipeline Password is set to the students 6-digit birthday by default.

Students unable to logon to Pipeline should send an email to help@jeffstateonline.com  requesting the account be reset.

The Pipeline email quota has a 50MB capacity.
Many students accounts have reached capacity and are not receiving new email.
The MSDN AA needs to use this account at the beginning of each semester to receive the MSDN AA email.
If a student fails to receive an email they should purge old messages from their account.
 
The Pipeline email Opions-Mail Setting:
 Empty messages from this folder on logout.
Is NOT checked by default. 
 
Once the Pipeline account has been purged the Student can go to MSDN AA site

and follow the link:  
I've forgotten my password!
 
A new email will be sent to their Pipeline account containing their password.

 
ELMS
The Electronic License Management System (ELMS) is used to obtain software.

Students must agree to the MSDN Academic Alliance Student Use Agreement.

The student's Jefferson State email address is the UserID  for ELMS logon.

        Example logon:  username@jeffstateonline.com

Information emails from the ELMS are sent to the Jefferson State email address. 

Once a student is added to the ELMS, a system generated password is emailed to the username@jeffstateonline.com  student email address.

SOFTWARE
Students may retain the rights to licensed software after they are no longer a student at JSCC.
